Newgrange or Knowth: which passage tomb should you see?
Both are older than the pyramids. Here's how they differ, and why we love both.
Newgrange is the famous one: a single great passage you can walk into, lit by the sun at the winter solstice.
Knowth has more carved stone than anywhere else in Western Europe, and a group of smaller tombs around the main mound.
